VetCV Foundation To Celebrate Grand Opening of the Mission Next Military, Veterans, and Family Resource Center on Pensacola State College Milton Campus

PENSACOLA, Fla. (November 0, 2025)—VetCV Foundation, the nonprofit arm of VetCV Inc., invites the community to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the Mission Next Center on November 21 at 9:30 a.m. on the Pensacola State College Milton Campus. The event will be held in Building 4200 main entrance and will include guest speakers and tours of the new facility.

The Mission Next Center is a collaboration between the VetCV Foundation and Pensacola State College alongside local government leaders, businesses, and veteran service organizations to provide personalized resources and services to current and former service members and their families. Guests at the center will receive one-on-one guidance from Patriot Navigators to help them assess their needs and identify the right resources and services for them. They are then introduced to resources, tools, tips, and connected to Patriot Partner organizations that we believe can help—companies, nonprofits, faith-based groups, and government entities—which offer these services and resources. VetCV and the Mission Next Center maintain a database and contact with Patriot Partners to facilitate access to these resources.

The Mission Next Center will provide guidance for topics including employment, housing, education, VA benefits, healthcare access, economic self-sufficiency, legal services, small business growth, veteran community networking, support for returning citizens, substance abuse assistance, and much more.

“This has been a long time in the making,” VetCV CEO Niels Andersen said. “We’ve built out our digital platform, VetCV, to help those who served access resources and navigate the different chapters of their lives. The Mission Next Center is the next step in what we’ve been doing all along and the evolution of VetCV. By utilizing the technology we’ve already created, we’ll now be helping veterans and their families in-person and maximizing the good we can do. The Mission Next Center will be a place that veterans know that they can come in with questions and walk out knowing what the next steps are.”

The Mission Next Center is a shared vision with the VetCV Foundation and State Representative Michelle Salzman (Florida, District 1), alongside our Patriot Funding Partners, local business leaders and veteran-focused nonprofits and organizations. “We needed a way to navigate people to the veteran resources that are already available to the community,” Rep. Salzman said. “The Mission Next Center will bridge the gap between federal support and the local area. Currently, we have organizations holding events in coffee shops and going to veterans’ homes to help with their claims. We believe that veterans deserve a place to call their own and access these resources. That’s what the Mission Next Center is.”

By supporting and engaging directly with active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, the Mission Next Center will also help optimize their successful transition from military service and help them navigate the challenges and opportunities of civilian life. The VetCV Foundation notes that there will never be a cost for these services to individuals.

The grand opening of the Mission Next Center is free and open to the public. For more information about VetCV, the VetCV Foundation, or the Mission Next Center, please visit missionnext.vetcvfoundation.org.

Patriotism in Action, Empowering Tomorrow, & Finding Purpose

PENSACOLA, Fla. (November 11, 2025)—The VetCV Foundation is thrilled to announce its Annual Fundraising Dinner, set to take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Pensacola Yacht Club in Pensacola, Florida. This signature event will bring together veterans, community leaders, and supporters to celebrate and advance the Foundation’s mission of empowering veterans and their families through community outreach, innovative programs, and collaborative partnerships.

The Event

The program will also include inspiring keynote addresses from two distinguished speakers:

  • Rudy Ruettiger, a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. His remarkable story of perseverance and determination—overcoming dyslexia and modest athletic abilities to earn a spot on the University of Notre Dame football team—inspired the iconic major motion picture RUDY.
  • Captain Chandra Newman, USN, the Commanding Officer of Naval Air Station Pensacola, a Florida native who enlisted in the Navy in 2001 and earned her commission in 2002. Her exemplary career includes assignments with humanitarian relief operations, command of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 5 (earning the 2019 Battle “E” award), leadership roles in joint and executive fellowships, and now overseeing the Cradle of Naval Aviation.

Attendees will also hear impactful stories from veterans supported by VetCV’s initiatives, participate in a live auction featuring exclusive experiences and items, and celebrate the launch of the VetCV Foundation Mission Next Center.

All proceeds from the silent auction, ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations will support VetCV Foundation programs, including career transition support, community-building efforts, and the upcoming Mission Next Center.

Mission Next

The launch of the new VetCV Foundation Mission Next Center will be a focal point of this year’s event. Located on the Pensacola State College Milton campus, the Mission Next Center represents a groundbreaking collaboration with Patriot Teaming Partners to establish Santa Rosa County’s first dedicated military and veterans resource center. This facility will address the comprehensive needs of active military personnel, veterans, and their families across Northwest Florida by providing essential services such as academic advising, career guidance, housing support, and access to community resources, fostering a supportive environment for successful transitions and long-term well-being.

“We are honored to host our Annual Fundraising Dinner at the Pensacola Yacht Club, a venue that reflects the strength and unity of our community,” said Pete McKanna, president of the VetCV Foundation board. “This event is a chance to celebrate the resilience of our veterans, highlight the launch of our innovative Mission Next Center in partnership with Pensacola State College and our Patriot Teaming Partners, and raise vital funds to expand our services, ensuring every veteran and their family has the tools they need to thrive.”

McKanna, a local business leader and Vietnam veteran, has been instrumental in securing partnerships for the Mission Next Center. “This project is made possible by support and contributions from major Patriot Partners like Pensacola State College, Navy Federal Credit Union, Baptist Health Care, the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs, NW Florida Healthcare Network, Florida Power & Light, and many others,” he added. “These Patriot Partners genuinely care about our community.”

Tickets for the event are priced at $150 per person, with sponsorship opportunities and tables available for organizations and groups. Attire is cocktail; military dress uniforms are encouraged for veterans.
